Privacy policy
Thank you for your interest in our website. The protection of your personal data during the collection, processing and use on the occasion of your visit to our website is an important concern for us.
1. Personal data
Personal data is information that can be used to find out your identity. This includes your name, address, postal address and telephone number. Information that is not associated with your identity (such as the number of users of a website) is not included. In principle, you can use our online services without disclosing your identity. When you visit our website or use our services, the device with which you access the page automatically transmits log data (connection data) to our server. Log data includes the IP address of the device you use to access the website or service, the type of browser you use to access the site, the page you visited previously, your system configuration and date and time information. IP addresses are only stored to the extent necessary to provide our services. Otherwise, the IP addresses are deleted or anonymised. We store your IP address when you visit our website for a maximum of 7 days in order to detect and defend against attacks.
When you request information, order e-books or make other requests, we ask you for your name and other personal information. It is your free decision whether you enter this data. We store your details on specially protected servers in Switzerland. The EU Commission has certified that the level of data protection in Switzerland is comparable to that in the EU. Data transfer from the EU to Switzerland is permitted under data protection law. Access to it is only possible for a few authorised persons. These are responsible for the technical, commercial or editorial maintenance of the contents and servers. Insofar as the usage or traffic data is required for our services, it will be stored for a maximum of six months after the collection of the data. If the data is required to comply with existing legal, statutory or contractual retention periods (e.g. invoices), this data is also stored beyond this period. However, this data is blocked and only accessible to a few authorised persons via passwords.
Right to object to the collection of data in specific cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 of the GDPR)
If the data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) of the GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this data protection declaration. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims (objection under Article 21 (1) of the GDPR).
If your personal data are processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for the purpose of direct advertising (objection under Art. 21 (2) of the GDPR).
Right to restrict processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do this, you can contact us at any time at the address given under the legal notice.
The right to restrict processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to check this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data has happened/is happening unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or enforce legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection under Art. 21 (1) of the GDPR, a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a member state.
2. Disclosure of personal data to third parties
We use your personal information only for the purpose for which it is used by us. We will not pass the data on to third parties without your express consent. Insofar as we are obliged to do so by law or by court order, we will pass on your data to bodies entitled to receive information.
3. Use of cookies
Internet cookies are small packets of data that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies on our website. 4. Protection of minors
Children and persons under the age of 18 should not submit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.
5. Links to other websites
Our online offer contains links to other websites. We have no influence on whether their operators comply with data protection regulations.
6. CRM (Worldsoft Business Suite) and newsletter
This website uses the Worldsoft Business Suite (WBS). The provider is Worldsoft AG, Churerstrasse 158, 8808 Pfäffikon, Switzerland. The Worldsoft Business Suite (WBS) is a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool for organising and analysing data. When you provide us with your personal data via a web form or when placing an order, this data is stored on the servers of Worldsoft AG in Switzerland. The EU Commission has certified that the level of data protection in Switzerland is comparable to that in the EU. A data transfer from the EU to Switzerland is permissible under data protection law. We refer you to our data protection regulations before the transfer of your data. By submitting your data, you agree that we may collect, process and use your personal data within the framework of the legal regulations. The purpose of the use is determined by the context in which your data is transmitted. Your data will be used for the purpose for which it was originally collected, for example, if you order a product on our website, your data will be used to create and send the invoice and for any queries.
Legal basis
Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
Data analysis
WBSWBS enables us to subdivide interested parties and customers on the basis of various categories (so-called tagging). In doing so, the address entries can be subdivided, for example, according to gender, personal preferences (e.g. vegetarian or non-vegetarian) or customer relationship (e.g. customer or potential customer).
Storage perio d
Data you have deposited with us will be stored until you revoke your consent. After the revocation of your consent, your data will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of Worldsoft AG. You can find more details in the data protection regulations of Worldsoft AG at www.worldsoft.info/5765
Newsletter data
The Worldsoft Business Suite (WBS) can be used, among other things, to organise and analyse the dispatch of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter is stored on the servers of Worldsoft AG. If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address or telephone number for SMS, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address or telephone number and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties. The data entered by you for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored on the servers of Worldsoft AG.
The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example, via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation. The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the member area) remain unaffected by this.
Data analysis by the WBS
When we send newsletters with the help of the WBS, we can determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on.
The WBS also enables us to subdivide the newsletter recipients according to various categories (so-called tagging). In doing so, the newsletter recipients can be subdivided, for example, according to gender, personal preferences (e.g. vegetarian or non-vegetarian) or customer relationship (e.g. customer or potential customer). In this way, the newsletters can be better adapted to the respective target groups. You can find more information at www.worldsoft.info/5243/wbs
If you do not want any analysis by WBS, you must therefore unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the member area, address details for invoicing) remain unaffected by this.
7. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offer by the users is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. In doing so, pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the processed data.
We only use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation activated. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the user's browser will not be merged with other data from Google. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online offer to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Mobile users also have the option of an opt-out for the storage of cookies:
Deactivate Google Analytics
For more information on Google's use of data for advertising purposes, settings and opt-out options, please visit Google's websites: www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners/ ("Data use by Google when you use our partners' websites or apps"), www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads ("Data use for advertising purposes"), www.google.de/settings/ads ("Manage the information Google uses to serve you ads") and www.google.com/ads/preferences/ ("Determine what advertising Google shows you").
8. Social media with Shariff module
The usual social media plug-ins (displayed as buttons on the website) transmit user data to social media platforms (Facebook and others) with every page view. Some of these Plugins give social media networks information about your surfing behaviour in this way. To do this, you do not have to be logged in or a member of the network. We use the Shariff module on our website. A Shariff button establishes direct contact between a social media network and you only when you actively click on the Share button. In this way, Shariff prevents users from leaving a digital trail on every page they visit and improves data protection. With the Shariff module, you can like, +1 or tweet – the respective social media network does not receive any more information.
9. Plugins and tools
DISQUS – Commenting platform
For the commenting function, e.g. on blog posts, this site uses the DISQUS platform. DISQUS is an online platform for sharing public comments, where users can sign up and create profiles to participate in conversations with like-minded people and enjoy an interactive experience. When you post comments on blog posts and create a profile for them, you are using DISQUS. This means that your profile data and IP address will be transmitted to this company and stored on their servers in the USA. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transmission.
You can avoid this by not creating a user profile with DISQUS. You can find the DISQUS data protection information here: https://help.disqus.com/terms-and-policies/disqus-privacy-policy
Google Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts from Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, however, the browser you use does not connect to Google's servers, but accesses Worldsoft's servers in Switzerland. Google does not learn that your IP address has been used to access our website. Worldsoft does, however, become aware of your IP address when you use the website. The handling of your IP address is described in point 1, paragraph 2 of this data protection declaration. Google Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.
Google Maps
This site uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transmission. Google Maps is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and to make it easy to find the places we indicate on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR. More information on the handling of user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
YouTube
Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube's privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
